Financial Controller (13‑Month Contract)

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Financial Controller to join our team on a 13‑month contract. The role will ensure accurate financial records, timely reporting, and overall financial integrity across the organization, with a focus on dealership accounting.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate financial records and produce monthly and year‑end financial statements.
• Perform bank and account reconciliations and support month‑end close activities.
• Prepare GST/PST filings and ensure tax compliance.
• Approve payments, oversee payment processing controls, and manage full‑cycle accounting processes.
• Support internal and external audits, preparing working papers and documentation.
• Review and process deals, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Act as primary contact for accounting and financial matters, assisting employees and management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• CPA designation required.
• Strong experience in full‑cycle accounting and financial statement preparation.
• Dealership accounting experience considered an asset.

Required skills

• Proficiency with accounting software (PBS preferred).
