Financial Controller

About the role

Rowland Emergency Vehicles Ltd. is seeking an experienced, strategic, and hands‑on Financial Controller to lead all accounting and financial operations for its growing emergency‑vehicle manufacturing business. The role ensures accurate financial reporting, supports executive decision‑making, and drives operational efficiency in a custom‑manufacturing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and month‑end/year‑end close processes.
• Prepare timely monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and management reports.
• Develop and maintain financial models, budgets, forecasts and variance analyses.
• Generate operational and financial KPI reports for executive and departmental use.
• Maintain and strengthen internal controls, policies and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations and corporate governance.
• Coordinate internal and external audits and liaise with auditors and regulators.
• Monitor cash flow, working capital, inventory valuation and manufacturing cost analysis.
• Partner with operations and leadership on strategic planning and efficiency initiatives.
• Support continuous improvement, ERP optimization and financial process automation.
• Lead and mentor the accounting and finance team.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• CPA designation required.
• 10–15 years of progressive accounting and finance experience, preferably in manufacturing or industrial environments.
• Minimum 5 years of hands‑on experience with SAP Business One ERP.
• Analytical, detail‑oriented and highly organized with the ability to balance strategic leadership and day‑to‑day accounting duties.
