Field Service Technician – Fiber Optic Installation

About the role

RFNOW Inc. is expanding its fiber internet network across Southern Manitoba and Saskatchewan. We are looking for motivated Field Service Technicians to install, terminate, and test fiber optic infrastructure for residential and commercial customers.

Key responsibilities

• Install, terminate, and test fiber optic cables in homes and businesses.
• Deploy media converters, ONTs, switches, and routers.
• Perform fiber testing using OTDR, OFI, and light meters.
• Run and terminate CAT5/6 wiring safely and professionally.
• Interact courteously with clients and support staff.
• Travel to multiple sites, including occasional short‑term overnight assignments.

Required profile

• Experience as a telecom installer or related field is an asset.
• Ability to work independently and follow strict safety protocols.
• Valid driver’s licence with a clean abstract.
• Successful vulnerable sector check.
• Willingness to work in all weather conditions and travel across the region.
