Family Physician

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Family Physician to join a private practice clinic and provide comprehensive primary care to patients of all ages. The role involves delivering preventive, acute, and chronic disease management while fostering long‑term health relationships within the community.

Key responsibilities

• Collect medical information from patients, family members, or other healthcare professionals.
• Examine patients to identify diseases, injuries, and overall health status.
• Order laboratory tests, X‑rays, and other diagnostic procedures to determine appropriate treatment.
• Consult with other medical practitioners to evaluate patients' physical and mental health.
• Prescribe and administer medications and treatments.
• Inoculate and vaccinate patients to prevent and treat diseases.
• Advise patients on healthy habits, lifestyle changes, and wellness strategies.
• Report births, deaths, contagious and other diseases to government authorities.
• Provide acute care management, emergency care, and counseling to patients and families.

Required profile

• Degree in medicine (MD, DO, or equivalent) and licensure by provincial or territorial authorities.
• College of Family Physicians Certification (CCFP) preferred.
• Experience in primary care or family practice is an asset.
