Continuing Care Dispensary Pharmacist – Lethbridge

About the role

London Drugs is seeking a dedicated Continuing Care Dispensary Pharmacist to join its long‑term care pharmacy team in Lethbridge. The role focuses on indirect patient care within a collaborative environment that includes clinical pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, doctors and nurses.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate therapeutic prescriptions and monitor patient electronic charts in accordance with the Alberta Pharmacy Services Framework.
• Oversee compounding, unit‑dose packaging, and medication dispensing for nursing home residents.
• Participate in disease‑management and compliance programs, and contribute to seminars, workshops, and clinics.
• Utilise state‑of‑the‑art pharmacy technology to streamline routine tasks and enhance patient care.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy and a valid license to practice pharmacy in Canada.
• Registered with the Alberta College of Pharmacists.
• Willingness to engage in continued education and professional development.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.

Required skills

• Proficiency with pharmacy computer systems and electronic health records.
