About the role

Join a collegial emergency medicine team at Cariboo Memorial Hospital in Williams Lake, BC. Our 24/7 emergency department sees roughly 22,000 visits annually and offers a diverse case mix with many procedural opportunities.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive emergency care to a wide range of patients.
• Collaborate with specialists in internal medicine, obstetrics & gynecology, surgery, pediatrics, and psychiatry.
• Teach and mentor medical students and residents through the UBC Faculty of Medicine’s rural teaching program.
• Participate in leadership development through Interior Health’s NAVIG8 Emerging Physician Leaders Program.
• Contribute to the upcoming hospital redevelopment, including a new ED with 23 treatment spaces.

Required profile

• Current CCFP, CCFP (EM) or FRCPC in Emergency Medicine.
• Eligibility to practice medicine in British Columbia.
• Willingness to engage in mentorship, teaching, and community‑focused care.
