Course Lecturer – Population and Global Health Ethics (Fall 2026)

About the role

The Department of Global and Public Health at McGill University seeks a Course Lecturer for the Fall 2026 semester to teach GPHL 201: Population and Global Health Ethics. This 3‑credit undergraduate course explores ethical concepts, equity, human rights, anti‑racism, and the legacy of colonisation as they apply to global health practice.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver weekly lectures on Wednesdays from 14:30 to 17:30 in room Adams 211.
• Develop and update course materials, including readings, case studies, and assessment tools.
• Assess student performance through assignments, exams, and participation.
• Provide guidance and office hours to support student learning.
• Collaborate with department faculty on curriculum development and research integration.

Required profile

• PhD in global health, public health, primary care, or a closely related field.
• Prior experience teaching undergraduate global health courses.
• Research or work experience in a Global South region.
• Authorization to work in Canada and willingness to work in Quebec.
• Fluent English communication skills, both verbal and written.
