About the role
Yami is seeking a Country Manager/General Manager to lead its market entry and long‑term expansion across Canada. This senior, hands‑on position carries full P&L responsibility and will shape the company’s strategy, growth, and operational scalability in the Canadian e‑commerce market.
Key responsibilities
- Own the full P&L, driving revenue growth, profitability, and cost control.
- Define and execute the Canada market entry and expansion strategy in alignment with global leadership.
- Identify growth opportunities across product categories, sales channels, and strategic partnerships.
- Develop deep insights into Canadian consumers, especially the Asian diaspora, and translate them into localized marketing, merchandising, and product strategies.
- Build a strong local brand presence, enhance customer acquisition, conversion, retention, and overall market share.
Required profile
- Data‑driven operator with strong business instincts.
- Proven ability to move fluidly between strategic planning and execution.
- Experience scaling early‑stage businesses (0‑to‑1) into sustainable growth phases.
- Strong understanding of metrics, customer insights, and financial levers to drive performance.
