Construction Project Coordinator

About the role

Join the Mark’s and SportChek team as a Construction Project Coordinator, supporting the Director of Construction and driving the delivery of retail build projects. You will work closely with national vendors, the Project Manager, and the Real Estate Development team to ensure projects are executed on time, within budget, and to quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Provide project administration support to the Director of Construction.
• Manage pre‑ordering of long‑lead‑time equipment in coordination with the Project Manager.
• Assist with site layout design, permit acquisition, tendering, contract awards, scheduling, and construction administration.
• Generate and issue contracts, purchase orders, and change orders.
• Maintain meticulous project records and filing systems.
• Support the Project Manager with material testing, change notices, pricing adjustments, and deficiency tracking.
• Foster relationships with internal teams and external vendors to ensure client satisfaction.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in construction management, design, engineering, or related fields.
• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in a related discipline.
• Experience in commercial real‑estate, large‑retail projects, or construction firms.
• Strong communication, organization, and time‑management abilities.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a complex environment.
