About the role

The Board Director will provide strategic oversight for CNIB Deafblind Community Services, guiding the organization toward expanded geographic reach and stronger impact for Deafblind Canadians. This governance role works closely with the executive team to shape long‑term strategy and develop professional intervenor standards.

• Help develop and promote global professional intervenor standards.
• Collaborate with other board members, staff, and community stakeholders.

Required profile

• A personal connection to or strong commitment to the Deafblind community.
• Demonstrated experience in governance, strategic planning, or senior leadership.
• Ability to think future‑focused and contribute to high‑level decision making.
