Assistant/Associate Professor (Clinical) – Neurosurgery BCI

About the role

The Department of Neurology and Neurosurgery at McGill University seeks a full‑time clinical faculty member to join the Division of Neurosurgery, focusing on Brain‑Computer Interface research. This three‑year, renewable appointment will be based at the Montreal Neurological Institute‑Hospital (MNI‑H) and will contribute to both patient care and academic excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Provide clinical neurosurgery services at MNI‑H and affiliated teaching hospitals.
• Lead and participate in interdisciplinary Brain‑Computer Interface research projects.
• Teach undergraduate and postgraduate medical students, residents, and fellows.
• Supervise graduate students and post‑doctoral researchers.
• Develop and maintain collaborative relationships across clinical and research teams.

Required profile

• Qualified neurosurgeon or neurologist with a strong academic record.
• Experience in clinical practice and research related to Brain‑Computer Interfaces.
• Eligibility for a three‑year renewable contract appointment (non‑tenure‑track).
• Demonstrated ability to contribute to teaching, research, and clinical service.
