Vice President, Execution & Advisory (Finance & Strategy)

About the role

The Canada Development Investment Corporation (CDEV) is seeking a Vice President, Execution & Advisory to lead high‑profile financial initiatives that support national economic priorities. This senior position blends finance, strategy and public policy, offering ownership of complex transactions from conception through impact.

Key responsibilities

• Shape and execute large‑scale M&A, capital markets, structured finance and program design initiatives.
• Advise senior leadership, the Board and Government on strategic financial matters.
• Set strategy, oversee execution, and ensure delivery of outcomes across multi‑stakeholder environments.
• Lead full‑cycle deal execution, including diligence, negotiation, and structuring of equity, debt and other investment instruments.
• Manage carve‑outs, distressed assets, strategic acquisitions and divestitures.

Required profile

• Proven senior leader with deep expertise in capital markets and corporate finance.
• Hands‑on experience in investment banking, M&A advisory, equity and debt financing, or corporate development.
• Track record of delivering complex, high‑stakes transactions in both public and private sectors.
• Strong analytical rigour combined with commercial insight.
• Excellent communication skills for influencing senior stakeholders.
