Terminal Operations Manager

About the role

The Terminal Operations Manager leads a large team within Canpar Express’s Montreal terminal, ensuring that operational performance, cost controls, and revenue targets align with the company’s strategic plan. This role is situated in a dynamic warehouse environment and requires close interaction with staff at all levels.

Key responsibilities

• Coach, manage, and develop a team of 100‑150 employees.
• Oversee budget management, cost control, and profit improvement for the region.
• Administer employee relations, collective agreement compliance, health and safety, and all HR matters.
• Monitor and improve EBIT through revenue growth and efficient pickup/delivery cost management.
• Ensure staff adherence to company standards, policies, and procedures.
• Prepare branch paperwork, reports, and statistical analyses.
• Maintain high internal and external customer satisfaction levels.

Required profile

• Proven leadership experience in a service‑related organization.
• General accounting, finance, and administration background.
• Fully bilingual in English and French.
• 3‑5 years of management experience, preferably in a union environment.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Flexibility to work varied hours and travel 25‑50% regionally.
