Systems Support Administrator

About the role

Framestore is looking for a Systems Support Administrator to join its global Systems team. You will act as an escalation point for the IT Support team, helping studios across North America keep their technology infrastructure running smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Provide escalation support for incidents and requests via JIRA Service Desk.
• Support storage requests and administer enterprise storage platforms (GPFS, Isilon, ZFS).
• Monitor and maintain physical and logical systems, including OS images and Linux/Windows application packages.
• Manage license servers, render‑farm software, and virtualization (VMware ESXi).
• Monitor system health and performance using Grafana and Nagios.
• Produce and update documentation in Confluence.
• Collaborate with other technology teams to support artist workflows and production requirements.
• Participate in an on‑call rotation for after‑hours support.

Required profile

• 3+ years in a Level 1 IT or similar role.
• Hands‑on hardware experience (builds, upgrades, repairs).
• Strong customer‑facing and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Excellent communication and teamwork.

• Operating systems: Red Hat, Windows, macOS, Linux.
• Active Directory management.
• Scripting: PowerShell, Bash, Python.
• Version control: Git.
• Enterprise storage: GPFS, Isilon, ZFS.
