Sorting Team Lead (Chef d'équipe)

About the role

Intelcom | Dragonfly is Canada’s leading last‑mile logistics provider, operating over 100 sorting stations across three continents. We are looking for a Sorting Team Lead to oversee daily sorting operations, ensure a safe work environment, and support a high‑performing team of sorters and package handlers.

Key responsibilities

• Enforce health and safety protocols, conduct audits, and respond to emergencies.
• Lead the unloading of trucks, manage team efficiency, and maintain safety standards.
• Motivate, mentor, and train warehouse associates, including new hires.
• Support supervision of sorting, scanning, and processing of packages, including defective items and returns.
• Set up sorting layouts, assign labour, and manage workforce deployment.
• Perform data entry and verify freight against manifests during shipping and receiving.
• Maintain warehouse cleanliness and organization.

Required profile

• Strong commitment to health and safety compliance.
• Proven ability to lead and motivate a warehouse team.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to react quickly to operational changes.
• Good communication skills for coaching and escalating issues.

Required skills

• Basic data‑entry proficiency.
• Familiarity with warehouse equipment and procedures (e.g., pallet handling, BOL exchange).
