Sessional Lecturer – Business Finance (Winter 2026)

About the role

The Department of Management at the University of Toronto Mississauga is seeking a Sessional Lecturer to teach MGT231 Business Finance during the Winter 2026 term. This part‑time academic appointment runs from September 1 to December 31, 2026.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver lectures and tutorials for the Business Finance course.
• Prepare and update course materials, including slides and case studies.
• Assess student assignments, exams, and provide constructive feedback.
• Maintain accurate records in the university’s learning management system.
• Adhere to departmental and university policies, including equity and inclusion standards.

Required profile

• Graduate degree (Master’s or PhD) in Finance, Business Administration, or a closely related field.
• Demonstrated teaching experience at the undergraduate level is preferred.
• Strong communication skills and ability to engage a diverse student body.
• Familiarity with university academic standards and collective agreements.

Required skills

• Solid knowledge of core business finance concepts.
• Proficiency with learning management systems and basic classroom technology.
