Senior Platform Engineer – Microsoft 365

About the role

Insight Global is looking for a Senior Platform Engineer (Senior M365 Engineer) to lead the Microsoft 365 platform for a major retail enterprise. The role combines technical leadership, architecture, and hands‑on administration to ensure a secure, reliable, and scalable workplace environment.

Key responsibilities

• Own the design, deployment, and operation of Microsoft 365 services for over 25,000 users.
• Drive identity, security, and compliance initiatives across Exchange Online, Entra ID, and related services.
• Partner with engineering teams to automate workflows, improve performance, and support large‑scale enterprise projects.
• Mentor junior staff and promote best practices in platform management.
• Collaborate with HR systems (Workday, ServiceNow) to integrate identity and workflow automation.

Required profile

• 8+ years of experience as a Microsoft 365 administrator or engineer.
• Proven experience managing enterprise‑scale environments (25k+ users).
• Strong understanding of email security protocols (DMARC, DKIM, SPF, Microsoft Defender).
• Experience with Exchange Online, Entra ID, and the Microsoft 365 admin center.
• Familiarity with Workday and ServiceNow for workflow automation.
