Senior Payroll Analyst

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Payroll Analyst to join George Weston Limited’s payroll team in Toronto. You will be responsible for end‑to‑end payroll processing for executives, directors, and staff across multiple entities, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Process semi‑monthly payroll for executives, directors/trustees and salaried/hourly employees, including bonuses and special payments.
• Maintain and reconcile equity transactions such as Stock Options and RSUs, as well as hours, retroactive adjustments and statutory/voluntary deductions in Workday.
• Prepare payroll‑related journal entries, general‑ledger reconciliations and statutory remittance filings (e.g., CRA).
• Support year‑end payroll and benefits reporting and coordinate with third‑party providers.
• Partner closely with HR and Finance to ensure seamless payroll and benefits operations.

• Experience handling complex, multi‑entity payroll environments.
• Proven track record of delivering accurate payroll and benefits administration.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams.
