Senior Cloud Security Engineer (AWS, Zscaler, CrowdStrike)

About the Role

Maplesoft Group is seeking a highly skilled Senior Security Engineer to join our client's team in Calgary. In this critical role, you will design, implement, and manage advanced security controls within a complex multi-cloud environment to protect cutting-edge digital assets.

Main Missions

• Design and implement robust security controls across multi-cloud environments (AWS mandatory, Azure/GCP preferred).
• Collaborate closely with DevOps and Infrastructure teams to secure cloud workloads and support secure application development.
• Automate security controls and processes to enhance operational efficiency.
• Administer and optimize Zscaler Internet Access (ZIA) and Zscaler Private Access (ZPA).
• Manage Proofpoint environments, including email security, DLP, and threat intelligence.
• Deploy and maintain the CrowdStrike Falcon suite for endpoint protection and EDR.
• Lead security operations, including incident analysis, vulnerability assessments, and incident response.
• Develop automation scripts using Python, PowerShell, or Bash to streamline security workflows.

Candidate Profile

• Over 7 years of proven experience in Security Engineering.
• Advanced expertise in AWS security technologies is essential.
• Deep hands-on experience with Zscaler, Proofpoint, and CrowdStrike.
• Strong background in cloud security architecture and automation.
• Proactive mindset with the ability to respond effectively to complex security incidents.
