Senior C++ Software Engineer – Decision Management

About the role

Mastercard’s Decision Management program is looking for a senior software engineer to design and build high‑performance C++ solutions that power real‑time fraud prevention for millions of transactions worldwide. Based in the Vancouver office, you will work on a platform that combines streaming analytics, machine‑learning models and business rules to deliver instant decisions at global scale.

Key responsibilities

• Architect, design and develop enterprise‑grade C++ software components for the Decision Management platform.
• Identify improvement opportunities, create roadmaps and enhance core services.
• Write well‑designed, testable, maintainable and secure code.
• Automate development and delivery workflows and support continuous integration.
• Lead blameless post‑mortems, analyse root causes and drive corrective actions.
• Mentor and guide less‑experienced engineers.

Required profile

• Strong programming expertise in modern C++ with a proven track record of delivering high‑performance, reliable code.
• Experience building performance‑critical, real‑time systems and deep understanding of scalability, latency, throughput and reliability trade‑offs.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced, global engineering team.
