Senior Application Developer (Hybrid, Toronto)

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Application Developer to join our Toronto office on a hybrid schedule (2 days onsite per week). The role focuses on designing, building, and maintaining Oracle‑based applications while ensuring high performance and reliability.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain applications using Oracle and SQL‑based systems.
• Create and optimise database objects, including partitions, indexes, and performance tuning.
• Monitor application performance with tools such as Dynatrace.
• Support marketing campaigns, preferably using Unica.
• Raise and manage Change Requests (CRs) with proper documentation and approvals.
• Collaborate with infrastructure teams to support application environments.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts using Ansible.
• Perform system‑level troubleshooting on Linux/Unix platforms.
• Participate in client meetings to gather requirements and propose technical solutions.
• Ensure coding standards, security, and best practices are followed.
• Assist with deployment, release management, and production support.

Required profile

• Senior‑level professional with strong hands‑on experience in Oracle databases and SQL/PL‑SQL development.
• Proven ability to optimise database performance and manage change requests.
• Comfortable working in hybrid environments and collaborating with cross‑functional teams.
