Senior Accountant

About the role

The Senior Accountant will lead month‑end close activities, produce monthly and quarterly financial reports, and support both internal and external audit processes. This position also handles ad‑hoc management requests, contributes to process‑improvement projects, and mentors junior members of the accounting team.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations and related analyses.
• Perform financial reporting and analysis of monthly and quarterly results.
• Generate ad‑hoc reports and respond to management inquiries.
• Participate in process‑improvement initiatives and departmental projects.
• Prepare audit schedules and liaise with internal and external auditors.
• Document accounting policies and procedures.
• Support, mentor, and train other members of the accounting team.

Required profile

• University degree in accounting, finance or related field.
• 5+ years of accounting experience (public accounting, general accounting, consolidations, or financial reporting).
• Strong understanding of IFRS and/or GAAP.
• Experience with fixed‑assets accounting.
• CPA designation or MBA required.
