Security Technician I

About the role

As a Security Technician I at Bosch Building Technologies, you will support the installation, maintenance, and repair of integrated security systems. Working alongside experienced technicians, you will gain hands‑on experience with low‑voltage access control, CCTV, and pre‑wiring projects.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in installing and servicing electronic security systems, including access control, CCTV, and intrusion alarms.
• Perform pre‑wiring, programming, commissioning, troubleshooting, and routine maintenance.
• Install, terminate, and test copper and fiber‑optic cables and related components.
• Support system design and layout activities.
• Provide customer training on system usage and respond to technical inquiries.
• Maintain project documentation and update Project Managers on progress.
• Work night shifts as required by project or service needs.

Required profile

• 1‑3 years of experience in a technical role within the integrated security industry.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean abstract.
• Ability to work independently and adapt to changing project demands.
• Strong communication skills for interacting with customers and team members.

Required skills

• Cable pulling and installation.
• Basic troubleshooting of security systems.
• Experience with access control, CCTV, and intrusion alarm systems.
• Installation, termination, and testing of copper and fiber‑optic cables.
• Programming and commissioning of low‑voltage security equipment.
