Satellite TT&C/PDT Systems Engineer

About the role

The client seeks a Systems Engineer to lead the design, integration, verification and operational support of TT&C/PDT subsystems for current and next‑generation remote‑sensing and communications satellites. You will work closely with payload teams, ground‑segment developers and mission‑operations groups to ensure reliable command delivery and high‑fidelity telemetry throughout the satellite life‑cycle.

Key responsibilities

• Define functional architecture, produce system requirements, ICDs and maintain traceability across the project.
• Lead detailed hardware and software design, perform RF link‑budget analysis and verify compliance with CCSDS, ECSS, ITU and other regulatory standards.
• Present technical status, risk analyses and trade‑study results to senior management and negotiate interface agreements with suppliers.
• Develop test plans, verification matrices and execute RF link, BER and telemetry integrity tests at unit, subsystem and spacecraft levels.
• Mentor junior engineers, act as technical liaison with customers and drive continuous‑improvement initiatives.
• Maintain configuration control in a PLM environment and support design reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR, MRR/TRR).
• Provide launch‑pre‑launch and early‑orbit checkout support, including real‑time command and telemetry operations.

Required profile

• B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace or related field with 8+ years of TT&C/PDT system design experience on LEO/MEO/GEO platforms.
• Strong knowledge of CCSDS TM/TC packet standards, ECSS telemetry & command protocols, PUS services and ITU frequency regulations.
• Proficiency in RF link‑budget analysis and S‑band/X‑band/Ka‑band modem architecture.
• Hands‑on experience with system integration, testing and anomaly resolution.
• Familiarity with Confluence, JIRA and PLM tools; ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in English; French is a plus.
