SAP BTP CAPM & MCP Developer (Contract)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced SAP BTP CAPM & MCP Developer to design and build cloud‑based services and AI integrations for our client in Calgary. This 6‑month contract role focuses on leveraging SAP CAP, Model Context Protocol and Claude AI to deliver secure, scalable solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop SAP CAP (Cloud Application Programming Model) services using Node.js or Java.
• Implement MCP‑based integrations enabling SAP services to interact with Claude AI.
• Structure and manage model context, prompts, and AI responses for enterprise use cases.
• Ensure secure handling of business data passed to AI models.
• Optimize performance, scalability, and reliability of AI‑enabled services.
• Collaborate with architects, functional teams, and frontend developers.
• Produce technical documentation and provide deployment and hyper‑care support.

Required profile

• 15+ years of total professional experience with at least 3 years in relevant SAP BTP development.
• Strong understanding of SAP BTP, CAPM and MCP concepts.
• Hands‑on experience integrating large language models using the Model Context Protocol.
