About the role
Distance, an AI‑driven software company serving home‑service businesses, is seeking a Sales Development Representative to fuel its outbound sales engine. You will spend your day initiating conversations with owners and decision‑makers across North America, qualifying leads, and setting up meetings for senior sales staff.
Key responsibilities
- Cold‑call home‑service businesses in the US and Canada to generate new opportunities.
- Engage owners, operators, and decision‑makers, qualify prospects, and identify fit.
- Book qualified meetings for Sales Executives and follow up via phone, email, and SMS.
- Maintain activity logs, conversation notes, and next steps in the company CRM.
- Continuously learn product details, customer pain points, and sales messaging.
- Participate in coaching sessions, practice talk tracks, and improve performance weekly.
- Provide prospect feedback to refine outbound messaging.
- Represent Distance at trade shows, conferences, and industry events when required.
Required profile
- Comfortable making high‑volume cold calls and speaking directly with business owners.
- Experience in phone‑based sales, outbound prospecting, or appointment setting.
- Resilient, able to handle rejection and stay motivated.
- Coach‑able, eager for feedback and rapid improvement.
- Goal‑oriented, competitive, and comfortable working toward targets and commissions.
- Organized, reliable, and diligent about follow‑up and activity tracking.
- Willingness to travel occasionally across Canada and the United States.
Required skills
- CRM usage for tracking leads and activities.
