About the role

EcoVadis is seeking a Sales Development Manager to lead its Sales Development team across the Americas region. The role focuses on driving pipeline growth, creating qualified sales opportunities, and supporting Account Executives in delivering sustainable business solutions.

Key responsibilities

  • Own and execute the sales development strategy for the Americas region.
  • Collaborate with Regional Sales Directors to shape regional demand‑generation plans.
  • Design and maintain a scalable sales development process and ensure team adherence.
  • Monitor opportunity quality against pre‑established criteria and track team metrics for leadership reporting.
  • Analyze performance data, identify gaps, and implement improvement plans.
  • Partner with Marketing to develop inbound lead‑generation initiatives.
  • Manage the team budget and direct‑report expenditures.
  • Stay informed on competition, economic indicators, and industry trends.
  • Recruit, onboard, coach, and develop Sales Development Associates.
  • Set annual targets, conduct 1:1 performance reviews, and deliver quarterly evaluations.
  • Plan enablement programs, identify training needs, and ensure optimal use of the tech stack.
  • Participate in prospect calls, field days, and co‑design career paths for team members.

Required profile

  • Proven experience leading a sales development or business development team.
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret data and drive performance improvements.
  • Ability to collaborate across sales, marketing, and leadership functions.
  • Excellent people‑management capabilities, including recruiting, coaching, and performance management.
  • Strategic mindset with a focus on pipeline growth and KPI achievement.
