Remote Gastroenterology & Hepatology Consultant for AI Project

About the role

We are seeking a board‑certified gastroenterologist or hepatologist to work remotely on a project that fine‑tunes large language models for medical reasoning. You will apply your clinical expertise to ensure AI outputs are accurate, empathetic, and safe for patient care.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement advanced clinical scenarios covering differential diagnosis, chronic disease management, and preventive care.
• Evaluate AI‑generated responses for diagnostic accuracy, clinical judgment, and evidence‑based reasoning.
• Identify knowledge gaps in the model across gastroenterology, hepatology, and broader internal‑medicine topics.
• Collaborate with AI researchers and medical peers to improve model quality and reliability.
• Provide structured, written feedback that informs the next generation of clinical AI tools.

Required profile

• MD or equivalent with active clinical practice within the last 3 years.
• Board certification in Internal Medicine, Gastroenterology, or Hepatology.
• Comprehensive knowledge of acute, chronic, and preventive care in internal medicine.
• Ability to articulate complex medical reasoning in clear, patient‑friendly language.
• Excellent written and spoken English; familiarity with digital medical tools is a plus.
• Education from a top‑tier institution (e.g., Harvard, Stanford, UCSF, Oxford).

Required skills

What we offer

• 20–40 hours per week (minimum 4 hours per day) with overlap in PST.
• Freelance contract (no paid leave) for an initial 1‑month period, with possible extension.
