Project Manager - Capital Planning

About the role

Sense Engineering is looking for a seasoned Project Manager to lead capital planning and building assessment projects for its Victoria team. The role combines client interaction, technical analysis, and team leadership to deliver high‑quality, budget‑conscious outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and oversee building assessment and capital planning projects, ensuring timely, accurate and budget‑conscious deliverables.
• Maintain and nurture strong client relationships, delivering exceptional service and exceeding expectations.
• Mentor and guide team members, fostering collaboration and continuous improvement.
• Conduct site reviews, analyse data and prepare detailed reports such as depreciation reports, warranty reviews and building condition assessments.
• Develop project scopes, budgets and timelines, and monitor progress against them.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in capital planning or building assessment within engineering.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Building Science, Architectural Science, Applied Science or an Advanced Diploma in Architectural or Civil Engineering Technology.
• Valid driver’s licence and access to a vehicle.
• Proactive attitude with ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast‑paced environment.
