Project Coordinator Co‑Op Student

About the role

Matheson Constructors, a leading construction firm, is seeking a Project Coordinator Co‑op Student to support the project team on active construction projects. Working under experienced staff, you will gain hands‑on exposure to document control, scheduling, cost control and procurement in a fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with reviewing submittals, preparing and tracking RFIs and submittals using Procore.
• Support the development and monitoring of project and procurement schedules.
• Help prepare progress payment documentation, RFQs and purchase orders.
• Maintain accurate project records, drawings, specifications and change notices.
• Coordinate and attend project meetings, record minutes and follow up on action items.

Required profile

• Currently enrolled in a diploma or degree program in Engineering, Construction Management, Construction Engineering Technology or a related field.
• Eligible to participate in a co‑op, internship or work‑integrated learning term.
• Valid driver’s licence with access to a reliable vehicle and ability to travel to project sites.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Experience or familiarity with Procore construction management software.
• Experience or familiarity with Microsoft Project.
• Basic ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications and contract documents.
