Production Worker / Floater (Waterjet Shop)

About the role

The Floater will work in the Waterjet shop at our secondary location in Abbotsford, BC, supporting the production team with a variety of tasks. The role provides flexible coverage for Waterjet Operators and Parts Coaters while maintaining overall shop efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Assist machine operators and welders with daily production tasks.
• Transport materials, parts, and tools between work areas.
• Provide coverage as a Waterjet Operator when needed.
• Provide coverage as a Parts Coater when needed.
• Maintain general shop cleanliness and organization.
• Refuel company vehicles at the end of the week or as required.
• Support workflow to ensure production efficiency.

Required profile

• Post‑secondary education or equivalent experience.
• WHMIS certification (preferred).
• Experience in a production or manufacturing environment.
• Waterjet operation experience is an asset.
• Experience working with chemicals or industrial materials.
• Forklift certification or prior experience (asset).
• Ability to read engineered drawings.
• Proficiency with basic measuring and hand tools.
• Strong computer literacy.
• Willingness to obtain forklift certification.
• Physically capable of lifting 50 lb+ and sitting for extended periods.
