Production Coordinator – Metals

About the role

The Production Coordinator (Metals) supports the Flynn Manufacturing Division in delivering large‑scale, international building envelope projects. You will act as the central hub for scheduling, documentation, and material flow to ensure timely and accurate metal fabrication.

Key responsibilities

• Attend project kick‑off, pre‑production, weekly scheduling and client inspection meetings.
• Coordinate performance and visual mock‑ups.
• Work with Project Managers on material consumption, leftovers and orders.
• Maintain document control for drawings, fabrication releases, test reports and installation instructions.
• Manage shop work orders and purchase orders.
• Produce and monitor skidding and shipping schedules.
• Process production releases to optimise material usage.
• Review frame metal drawings for errors and omissions.
• Prepare Bills of Materials for scope of work.
• Ensure required materials are procured and available to meet schedule.
• Coordinate with the Glazing department for parts needed in metal production.
• Provide daily material status updates to the Metals Production team.
• Review Quality Assurance reports and handle reorders.
• Perform any other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in manufacturing coordination processes.
• Post‑secondary degree or diploma in civil, mechanical or industrial engineering.
• Ability to read and interpret shop and fabrication drawings.
• Highly motivated with strong organisational, analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
