Product Designer

About the role

Kimpex is looking for a Product Designer who will shape the look and performance of our technical apparel and snowmobile accessories. You will work at the intersection of design, engineering and market insight, creating products that reflect our brand DNA while meeting user needs.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and design products that align with brand identity, market trends and the product lifecycle.
• Create technical drawings, sketches, visual specifications and tech packs, selecting materials, fabrics and components for performance, durability and visual consistency.
• Participate in product trials, prototype validation, performance testing and adjustments.
• Conduct user studies, field observations and retailer visits to gather market feedback.
• Collaborate with development, engineering coordinators and suppliers to ensure technical feasibility.
• Represent the brand at powersports events and monitor trends, textile innovations and new technologies.

Required profile

• Post‑secondary degree in Fashion Design, Industrial Design or a related field (DEC or Bachelor’s).
• Experience designing technical apparel, soft goods or textile products.
• Strong understanding of technical materials, manufacturing methods and production constraints.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills with multidisciplinary teams.
• Fluency in written and spoken English.

Required skills

• Adobe Illustrator (essential).
• Proficiency with additional design tools (a plus).
