Pharmacist – Clinical Oncology

About the role

The Ottawa Hospital is seeking a qualified Pharmacist to join its Clinical Oncology research and patient care team. The position works on 8‑hour day shifts within a multi‑campus teaching hospital, providing medication expertise and supporting the delivery of high‑quality oncology services.

Key responsibilities

• Apply knowledge of modern hospital care and drug therapy to ensure safe and effective medication use for oncology patients.
• Supervise, coach and mentor pharmacy staff and trainees.
• Participate in teaching activities and contribute to the hospital’s research initiatives.
• Maintain accurate medication records using word‑processing, spreadsheet and database tools.

Required profile

• Baccalaureate of Science in Pharmacy from a recognized university or equivalent training/experience as defined by the Ontario College of Pharmacists.
• Registration with the Ontario College of Pharmacists – unrestricted Part A license.
• Working knowledge of modern hospital care, drug composition and clinical effects.
• Strong written and verbal communication, teaching and interpersonal abilities.
• Eligibility to work in Canada.
