Payload System Verification & Validation Engineer (Hybrid/Remote)

About the role

We are seeking a Payload System Verification & Validation Engineer to support the verification and validation of advanced digital telecommunications payloads. In this role, you will develop and execute comprehensive test plans, validate system requirements, and ensure the performance and reliability of next‑generation payload architectures.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute verification and validation (V&V) plans for digital telecommunications payload systems.
• Perform requirements verification through system‑level and component‑level testing.
• Validate performance of digital payload architectures, including Software Defined Radio (SDR) processors and digital beamforming systems.
• Conduct RF testing using industry‑standard test equipment and methodologies.
• Develop test automation scripts and analyze test data using Python, MATLAB, or similar tools.
• Configure and control laboratory test equipment using SCPI, VISA, and related interfaces.
• Collaborate with hardware, software, systems, and integration teams to resolve technical issues and ensure system compliance.
• Prepare technical documentation, test reports, and verification evidence to support project milestones.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in telecommunications systems, particularly digital payloads.
• Strong expertise in requirements verification through testing and development of test plans.
• Solid understanding of digital payload architectures, SDR‑based flexible processors, and digital beamforming.
• Hands‑on experience with Vector Network Analyzers, Spectrum Analyzers, Baseband Signal Generators, Channel Emulators, and Bit Error Rate testers.
• Proficiency in Python, MATLAB, or LabVIEW for test automation and data analysis.
• Experience using SCPI, VISA, or similar interfaces for instrument control.
