Part-Time Assistant Manager – Level 2

About the role

Join the loudest Hot Topic store in Midtown Plaza as a Part‑Time Assistant Manager. You will work closely with the Store Manager to drive sales, build a passionate team, and deliver an outstanding in‑store experience for music and pop‑culture fans.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Store Manager in achieving sales targets and comparable sales goals.
• Recruit, develop, and retain a collaborative, passionate team.
• Create buzz and customer engagement through product promotion, social media, BOPIS and curbside pickup.
• Maintain operational excellence, including shrink/loss prevention, payroll, scheduling, and associate hours.
• Communicate trends and customer feedback with retail leadership and HQ partners.
• Run sales reports and use data to guide strategy.
• Merchandise the store according to planograms and launch promotions on time.

Required profile

• 1‑2 years of retail store management experience.
• Strong communication, recruiting, and operational skills (payroll, reporting, scheduling, merchandising).
• High school diploma or GED; post‑secondary education a plus.
• Passion for music, pop culture and a fast‑changing retail environment.
• Ability to lift merchandise up to 50 lb and handle store equipment.
