Overnight Assistant Manager

About the role

We are seeking an Overnight Assistant Manager to support the Store Manager in overseeing daily operations at our Corner Brook location. This full-time role focuses on delivering excellent customer service, driving profitable sales, and ensuring a safe, well-maintained store environment during night shifts.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Store Manager in achieving sales and profit targets, analyzing financial reports and market trends to adjust strategies.
• Develop and execute operational plans, oversee merchandise presentation, pricing, and store standards across all departments.
• Implement and monitor asset protection, safety, and compliance procedures, responding proactively to any issues.
• Act as a customer ambassador, handling inquiries, feedback, and complaints to ensure a positive shopping experience.
• Participate in community initiatives and company-sponsored programs that strengthen the store’s local presence.
• Lead and develop associates through regular meetings, performance coaching, and recognition programs.
• Cross-train in all store areas to provide flexible coverage and maintain optimal store performance.

Required profile

• Proven experience in retail or store management, preferably in a supervisory or assistant manager role.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales data and financial reports.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to lead teams and engage customers.
• Commitment to safety, loss prevention, and compliance with company policies.
• Flexibility to work overnight shifts and adapt to a fast-paced retail environment.
