Operations Coordinator (Logistics)

About the role

The Operations Coordinator plays a pivotal role in our transportation team, overseeing full‑truckload (FTL) and less‑than‑truckload (LTL) shipments between Canada and the United States. You will ensure world‑class service for our clients by managing carrier relationships, negotiating rates, and tracking shipments to successful delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Arrange import and export FTL/LTL shipments across Canada and the US.
• Negotiate rates with carriers and provide accurate quotes to customers.
• Track and trace shipments, communicating status to customers and agents.
• Submit required documentation to customs brokers and handle local pickups/deliveries.
• Calculate revenue and costs for each shipment file.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of transborder operations experience in the 3PL industry.
• Strong customer‑service orientation with a proactive, responsive mindset.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, detail‑oriented environment.

Required skills

• Experience with national LTL/FTL systems such as Forward Air, Polaris, and XPO.
• Proficiency in Transportation Management Systems (TMS).
• Working knowledge of Loadlink.
• Understanding of Canada‑US customs cross‑border procedures.
• Familiarity with intermodal handling and white‑glove freight services.
