OEM Engineer – HVAC Modular Performance Systems

About the role

Armstrong Fluid Technology is seeking an OEM Engineer to work on HVAC modular performance systems. You will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to optimize customer specifications, support new opportunities, and provide technical input for design and manufacturing.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain clean order entry and follow document control procedures within business systems.
• Interpret customer applications and specifications, developing engineering standards and drawing packages for pump packages.
• Manage BOM and routing updates, item creation, and modifications in the Armstrong ERP system.
• Support sales with pricing, proposal data, and technical assistance for pump packages and components.
• Visit OEM customer factories and project sites for meetings, training, troubleshooting, and implementation support.
• Represent the company at trade shows and off‑site meetings in support of US sales.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of design and development experience, preferably in the HVAC industry.
• Strong oral and written communication, analytical thinking, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Willingness to travel 10‑20% domestically and internationally as needed.
• High‑performance cultural fit with the U.S. team.

Required skills

• Proficiency with SolidWorks 3D.
• Advanced use of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Experience with ERP systems for BOM and routing management.
• Knowledge of mechanical skid package and hydronic design.
• Background in HVAC and plumbing pump industries.
