Maintenance Technician - Alta Altitude

About the role

Greystar is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support the Alta Altitude property in Warwick. The role involves ensuring that all building systems, grounds, and common areas meet Greystar’s standards for safety, appearance, and functionality.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to resident service requests and complete preventative maintenance work orders, diagnosing issues and performing repairs in line with safety and code requirements.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant units, including inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, and final quality checks.
• Manage inventory of tools, supplies, and equipment, tracking usage and notifying supervisors of re‑order needs.
• Document all service requests accurately and promptly for proper tracking.
• Maintain grounds and common areas by removing debris, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, performing general cleaning, and painting curbs or signage as required.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing rather than replacing parts whenever possible and using materials efficiently.

Required profile

• Ability to follow Greystar’s safety and risk‑management policies and attend routine safety meetings.
• Strong attention to detail for inspections, documentation, and quality assurance.
• Physical capability to perform manual labor, lift equipment, and work in various weather conditions.

Required skills

• Proficiency with hand and power tools.
• Experience in mechanical troubleshooting and preventive maintenance.
• Ability to operate pressure‑washing equipment.
• Basic painting and surface‑preparation skills.
