Legal and Regulatory Compliance Advisor (12‑month contract)

About the role

As a Legal and Regulatory Compliance Advisor, you will design, implement and monitor the organization’s compliance framework, ensuring that officer and employee behaviours align with internal standards and external regulations. You will work closely with internal and external partners to provide guidance, develop action plans and support a culture of ethics and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Design, update, implement and monitor legal and regulatory compliance action plans, programs, solutions and tools.
• Diagnose compliance issues, challenges and needs to determine target outcomes.
• Analyze information, conduct studies and propose recommendations to develop best practices.
• Train internal practitioners, raise awareness and communicate information about ethics and compliance.
• Oversee business‑line activities and represent internal and external partners.
• Represent the unit before committees, practitioners and organizational units.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• Minimum of four years of relevant experience.
• Member of the Quebec Bar.
• Strong oral and written communication skills in both French and English.
• Action‑oriented with business insight and customer focus.
• Interpersonal savvy and ability to learn quickly.
