Junior Accountant

About the role

A growing real‑estate organization is looking for a Junior Accountant to support day‑to‑day accounting operations. Reporting to a senior finance leader, you will focus on accounts payable while gaining exposure to receivables, reporting and project work in a collaborative environment.

Key responsibilities

• Process and verify a high volume of invoices, ensuring correct coding and timely payment.
• Match purchase orders to invoices and resolve any discrepancies with vendors or internal teams.
• Assist with vendor account reconciliations and support issue resolution.
• Support month‑end and year‑end close activities, including preparing working papers and investigating variances.
• Contribute to financial reporting by helping with reconciliations and tracking investment or operational activity.
• Collaborate with senior team members on audits and other key deliverables.
• Participate in projects such as developing internal documentation and process‑improvement initiatives.
• Cross‑train across different accounting functions to build a well‑rounded understanding of the business.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field.
• At least 2 years of accounting experience; exposure to real‑estate or property‑management is a plus.
• Strong understanding of basic accounting principles.
• High attention to detail with strong organizational and time‑management abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
• Analytical thinking and problem‑solving skills.
• Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
