IT Technician / Help Desk Support

About the role

RMP Advisors is seeking an IT Technician/Help Desk Support professional to provide timely, effective assistance for end‑user productivity issues. You will work closely with a third‑party Managed Service Provider to diagnose problems, guide users to resolution, and deliver informal training as needed.

Key responsibilities

• Provide day‑to‑day technical support for hardware, software, and user access issues.
• Monitor and manage endpoints using the firm’s remote monitoring and management platform.
• Perform remote troubleshooting, patching, and maintenance on desktops and laptops.
• Support and administer Microsoft 365 services, including Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, and SharePoint.
• Handle user provisioning, licensing, and access management.
• Document problems and solutions in the help‑desk system and maintain clear records.
• Set up, image, deploy, and manage workstations throughout their lifecycle.
• Execute onboarding and off‑boarding processes, ensuring device readiness and appropriate permissions.
• Identify recurring issues and collaborate with internal IT and the MSP to improve systems.

Required profile

• College diploma or university degree in Information Technology or a related field.
• 2‑3 years of IT support experience.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent communication skills with a customer‑focused mindset.

Required skills

• Microsoft 365 (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive).
• Windows desktop environments.
• Remote support / RMM tools.
• Hardware and software troubleshooting.
