Housekeeping Rooms Experience Specialist – Luxury Boutique Hotels

About the role

The Housekeeping Rooms Experience Specialist ensures guest rooms and public areas meet luxury standards at the Loden and Arden Hotels in downtown Vancouver. Reporting to the Housekeeping Manager, the role supports overall housekeeping operations and contributes to guest comfort through meticulous attention to detail.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain a calm, professional demeanor and positive attitude while adapting to a dynamic environment.
• Complete daily housekeeping tasks such as making beds, vacuuming, changing linens, and cleaning bathrooms in line with luxury service standards.
• Follow time‑task guidelines and lost‑and‑found procedures accurately.
• Conduct daily inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back‑of‑house spaces, reporting any deficiencies to management.
• Maintain knowledge of hotel facilities, policies, and service expectations.
• Work safely according to WorkSafe BC standards and collaborate with other departments (e.g., Valet) as needed.
• Attend departmental and general hotel meetings and perform other duties as required.

Required profile

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent; post‑secondary education is an asset.
• Hotel experience, preferably in a luxury or boutique setting, is an asset but not required.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills with a natural ability to connect with guests.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment.
• Highly organized with the ability to prioritize workload.
• Strong verbal communication skills and professional demeanor.
• Passion for hospitality and a genuine desire to exceed guest expectations.
• Flexible availability, including weekends, holidays, and peak periods.
• Valid driver’s license and abstract; able to lift and move items up to 23 kg.
