Home Child Care Provider – Full‑time

About the role

We are looking for a dedicated home child care provider to care for a multi‑aged family in Toronto. The role is full‑time, permanent and based in the family’s residence, offering a supportive environment for children of various ages, including those with special needs.

Key responsibilities

• Change diapers, assist with toilet training and maintain personal hygiene.
• Prepare and serve nutritious meals, and manage feeding schedules.
• Plan and supervise games, outings and educational activities.
• Provide light housekeeping, laundry, and household supply shopping.
• Transport children to school, appointments and extracurricular activities.
• Support emotional well‑being, help with homework and encourage social development.
• Implement discipline methods as directed by parents.

Required profile

• Minimum secondary school graduation.
• At least 5 years of experience in home child care, including work with autistic children and children with allergies.
• Own reliable transportation.
• Physical ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lb) and perform repetitive tasks.
• Strong interpersonal skills, patience, honesty and reliability.
