Generator Technician Apprentice

About the role

This full‑time, on‑site apprenticeship is based in Leduc, AB and focuses on the maintenance, diagnosis, and repair of diesel and gas‑powered generators used on site. You will work alongside experienced technicians to ensure equipment reliability while adhering to safety and environmental standards.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct daily inspections and preventative maintenance on generators and related equipment.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues, performing repairs and part replacements.
• Calibrate and install equipment as required.
• Document maintenance activities and ensure compliance with company and industry regulations.
• Provide support for both shop‑based tasks and field service calls throughout Alberta.

Required profile

• Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing diesel and gas‑powered generators.
• Experience with mechanical diagnostics and electrical system troubleshooting.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
• Relevant technical certifications or training in mechanics or electrical systems are highly advantageous.
• Previous exposure to oil and gas construction or industrial equipment maintenance is a plus.
