Full-Time Store Associate – Retail Sales

About the role

Giant Tiger is seeking friendly, motivated individuals to join its store team in Truro. As a Full-Time Store Associate you will deliver excellent customer service while supporting daily store operations and ensuring a pleasant shopping experience.

Key responsibilities

• Provide a high level of customer service at the checkout.
• Accurately record transactions using electronic cash registers, mainline and self‑checkout systems.
• Replenish merchandise around the checkout area and maintain planograms, labels, and tickets.
• Monitor hot‑selling items, execute markdowns and SKU changes as needed.
• Perform cycle counts and inventory tasks.
• Ensure compliance with tobacco and lottery sales policies.
• Follow health and safety guidelines and keep the checkout area clean and organized.
• Adhere to loss‑prevention best practices.
