French In-Person Tutor (Elementary & High School)

About the role

Maison d’Étude Academy is seeking a qualified and experienced French Tutor to provide in‑person academic support to elementary and high‑school students in Montreal. The ideal candidate will have a strong academic background, proven tutoring experience, and the ability to inspire confidence and curiosity.

Key responsibilities

• Provide in‑person, one‑on‑one tutoring in elementary and high‑school level French.
• Reinforce core concepts through targeted practice, assignments, and supplementary resources.
• Maintain ongoing communication with students’ families regarding progress and goals.
• Accurately log sessions and notes using the internal scheduling system.
• Support students in developing independent study habits and long‑term academic skills.

Required profile

• University degree in Education or French (preferred).
• Minimum 1–2 years tutoring or teaching experience at the high‑school level.
• Strong knowledge of Quebec curriculum standards in French.
• Bilingual in English and French (preferred).
• Professionalism, reliability, and excellent interpersonal skills.
• Ability to provide in‑person support in the Montreal area.
• Police background check required.
