Financial Controller

About the role

Rubicon Organics is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to lead and scale its accounting function during a pivotal growth phase. Reporting to the Director of Corporate Finance, this senior, hands‑on leader will ensure the integrity, accuracy, and timeliness of financial data while building a high‑performing accounting team.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of approximately five accounting professionals.
• Establish, document, and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls aligned with applicable standards.
• Act as primary contact for external auditors and oversee audit readiness.
• Manage the full revenue‑to‑cash cycle, including customer setup, invoicing, collections, and variance analysis.
• Oversee accounts payable, payment approvals, and employee expense processing.
• Own the month‑end close process and partner on quarterly and annual financial reporting.
• Review and approve journal entries, reconciliations, and key accounting estimates.
• Collaborate with Commercial, Sales, Supply Chain, and Operations teams to ensure accurate financial processes.

Required profile
