Faculty Lecturer – General Dentistry

About the role

The Faculty of Dental Medicine and Oral Health Sciences at McGill University seeks a part‑time Faculty Lecturer in General Dentistry for the 2026‑2027 academic year. This ranked contract position is a non‑tenure‑track academic staff role focused on clinical supervision and teaching.

Key responsibilities

• Provide clinical training and teaching to undergraduate dental students.
• Supervise students during clinical procedures, ensuring patient safety and a supportive learning environment.
• Evaluate student performance and contribute to their professional development.
• Deliver professional dental services in oral diagnosis, preventive dentistry, periodontics, oral radiology and comprehensive care according to current standards.
• Collaborate with faculty members and clinical training coordinators to integrate evidence‑based practice.
• Participate in the Faculty’s academic mission, including committee work and other teaching activities.

Required profile

• D.M.D. or D.D.S. (or equivalent) from an accredited dental school.
• License, or eligibility for licensure, with the Ordre des dentistes du Québec.
• Demonstrated recent clinical practice and high‑quality teaching experience, including inclusive pedagogy and supervision of a diverse student body.
• Commitment to the Faculty’s vision, mission, shared values and community‑oriented responsibilities.
